Would You Support Your Pillow? | Chiropedic

31st May 2018

Let’s be honest, we all love pillows. We have them in our lounge rooms and we like to cover our entire bed in them. They are so fluffy and stylish and they can really brighten up a room. And yes decorative pillows are supposed to do just that. But what about the pillows we sleep on? They aren’t there for decoration or to fill up space at the top of the bed. They are there to support us. So would you support your pillow if it wasn’t supporting you?

In the past, most consumers would just buy any old pillow and then when it started to go yellow, they would just go a buy a new one. They would hold onto 1 pillow for years on end because ‘they like the feel of it’ and no other pillow could compare. But what is really inside that old, smelly, yellow pillow of yours? If comfort is your main objection to buying a new pillow then you haven’t been pillow shopping in a while.

With all the technological advancements in the sleep industry, we have been able to design and construct a wide range of pillows offering a variety of feels. In these modern days you can have latex pillows, latex infused with gel, memory foam pillows, and gel infused memory foam pillows etc. Pillows are now designed to support your neck, head and shoulders while you sleep to help you feel fresh and rejuvenated each morning.

The Natural Latex pillows are great because they are hypoallergenic and anti-microbial which is the perfect choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. These pillows are also resistant to dust mites, mould and mildew to give you that peace of mind.

The Pressure Relief pillows are made with top quality memory foams that are often infused with gel. These pillows offer optimal comfort and support to give you a great night’s sleep. Memory foam pillows are a big hit with most consumers because they material contour itself to the shape of your head and neck to provide perfect distribution of pressure points.

So if you can’t remember the last time you swapped out your old pillow, maybe it’s time to hit the shops and start looking for your next perfect pillow. If you’re unsure of which material is right for you, spend some time trying them all out and make a day of it so you can rest easy knowing you’ve made the right choice.
